Can I buy some medications without a prescription?

Yes, anything outside the antibiotic and controlled-medication categories. Controlled medications always require a valid prescription.

Why shouldn't I self-medicate?

Self-medicating without a diagnosis or medical supervision can mask symptoms of a bigger problem and delay proper treatment — on top of the risk of taking the wrong dose.

What should I do if a medication causes a reaction?

Seek medical evaluation within the first 30 minutes if you notice a scratchy throat, redness, swelling, or a skin rash. If you have trouble breathing, go to the ER right away — that's an emergency.

Can I get vaccinated at the CMQ Pharmacy?

As a private medical center, we don't administer vaccines at the pharmacy, but we're happy to point you toward where you can get one.

How do I get a controlled medication?

You'll need an appointment and evaluation with a doctor. If they determine you need it, they'll write the corresponding prescription.
