Accreditations & Quality at Hospital CMQ

When you choose a hospital, you want to know more than what it says about itself. You want to know how its teams work, what standards they follow, and whether those standards are reviewed beyond the hospital itself.

At Hospital CMQ, our commitment to patient safety and clinical quality is supported by certifications, accreditations, and professional training from national and international organizations. These cover areas such as intensive care, hygiene, sustainability, and emergency care.

Why do these certifications matter to patients?

A certification or accreditation is one way to look behind the scenes of a hospital. Depending on the program, an outside organization may review specific processes, facilities, training, or standards and determine whether defined requirements are being met.

That does not mean every certification applies to every doctor, service, or patient. Each one has a specific scope—and we believe that transparency matters.

Our certifications and accreditations

ELSO (Extracorporeal Life Support Organization)

ELSO is the international reference organization for extracorporeal life support (ECMO) — a life-support technique used in the most critical cases of heart or lung failure. Our Intensive Care Unit follows ELSO’s protocols for ECMO care.

Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Network

This international network recognizes hospitals for sustainable practices, including responsible use of energy and water and proper waste management. It reflects how we manage our facilities, not just how we treat patients.

Distintivo H

A food-handling hygiene certification awarded by Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health to establishments that meet food safety standards. At Hospital CMQ, it applies to hospital kitchen and food-service operations.

Punto Limpio

A distinction from Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism recognizing hygienic quality in tourism-sector businesses. It provides an additional, independently verified layer of cleanliness standards.

Distintivo M — Programa Moderniza

A certification from Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism recognizing organizations that have adopted a formal quality-management system, with documented processes that are regularly reviewed.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

ACLS certification trains medical professionals to manage cardiac and respiratory emergencies using an internationally recognized protocol. It is a professional certification held and renewed by individual staff members, rather than a hospital-wide award.

Frequently asked questions

Are these certifications renewed periodically?
Most certifications and accreditations require periodic renewal or review by the issuing organization. Ask our team if you'd like details on a specific one.
Does a certification mean every doctor is certified in that specific area?
It depends on the certification. Some, like ACLS, are held by individual staff members; others, like ELSO or Distintivo H, apply to a unit or the hospital as a whole.
Do these certifications cost me anything as a patient?
No. These certifications reflect our internal standards and processes, they don't add any cost to your care.
