House call doctor in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit

Sometimes going to the hospital isn’t the most practical option: your child’s fever at 11 p.m., a parent who has a hard time traveling, or simply being on vacation and not wanting to lose a day in a waiting room. Our house call service brings Hospital CMQ’s care to you — backed by a full hospital network, not just an independent doctor.

Why choose a hospital-backed house call service?

You’re not on your own if things get complicated

If you need labs, imaging, an ambulance, or hospitalization, you’re already part of our system — we coordinate everything without you having to start over somewhere else.

Bilingual doctors

Our primary care and walk-in clinic staff speak Spanish and English.

One shared medical record

If you’re already a Hospital CMQ patient, your house call doctor can access your history. If it’s your first time with us, we create it during your visit.

Direct coordination with the ER and ambulance

If your doctor determines you need hospital-level care, we coordinate your transfer right away.

Our general medicine team

Dr. Rocío Soto

Dr. Cristo Emanuel Ponce

What’s included in a house call?

  • General medical evaluation and vital signs check
  • Diagnosis and prescription
  • Wound care and minor stitches
  • IV fluids or injections when indicated by the doctor
  • Coordinating at-home lab sample collection
  • Coordinating transport or an ambulance, if your case requires it

A house call is not a substitute for emergency care. If you or someone with you has chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or loses consciousness, call (322) 226 6500 right away or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

Frequently asked questions

Is a house call the same as the ER?
No. A house call is for non-life-threatening situations — fever, general discomfort, minor wounds, follow-up care. If it's a real emergency, call (322) 226 6500 or go directly to the nearest Emergency Room.
Do you accept health insurance?
We accept most travel and health insurance plans; we also offer affordable rates for uninsured patients. Confirm your coverage when booking.
Can I request a house call for an elderly family member?
Yes. That's one of the most common reasons families use this service — it avoids the stress of an unnecessary trip.
What happens if the doctor decides I need to go to the hospital?
We coordinate your transfer right away, either by ambulance or private transport depending on urgency, and your file will already be ready when you arrive.
