Si no es tratada llega a causar ataques o crisis que pueden ser mortales.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb28px\u00bb][vc_row_inner el_id=\u00bbprevention\u00bb][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfSe puede prevenir?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque esta enfermedad en s\u00ed no se puede prevenir, se recomienda identificar y reducir la exposici\u00f3n a sus desencadenantes a trav\u00e9s de medidas generales de control ambiental tales como:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evitar contacto con humo de cigarrillo<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimizar la aparici\u00f3n de \u00e1caros en casa<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liberarse de todas las mascotas con pelo y elegir hipoalerg\u00e9nicas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eliminar cucarachas de casa<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limpiar cada rinc\u00f3n de la casa de forma regular<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se pueden usar insecticidas, pero aseg\u00farate que el asm\u00e1tico no est\u00e9 en casa cuando se use<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evitar contacto con polen y moho<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reducir humedad en casa<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb28px\u00bb][vc_row_inner el_id=\u00bbsymptoms\u00bb][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>S\u00edntomas del asma<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta enfermedad es diferente en cada caso, generalmente se caracteriza por la inflamaci\u00f3n cr\u00f3nica de las v\u00edas respiratorias. Las dos caracter\u00edsticas principales que definen esta enfermedad son:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><b>A) Historial de s\u00edntomas respiratorios<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dificultad respiratoria<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dificultad para dormir debido a tos, sibilancia o sensaci\u00f3n de dificultad para respirar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opresi\u00f3n en el pecho<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dolor de pecho<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>B) Limitaci\u00f3n variable del flujo de aire al final de la respiraci\u00f3n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s, los siguientes s\u00edntomas pueden indicar que est\u00e1 empeorando:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando aumenta la frecuencia de los s\u00edntomas y\/o ataques<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando respirar se vuelve notablemente dif\u00edcil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb28px\u00bb][vc_row_inner el_id=\u00bbcauses\u00bb][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Sus principales causas<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El asma no es causada por una sola raz\u00f3n, sino que es el resultado de una combinaci\u00f3n de factores gen\u00e9ticos y ambientales. Sus desencadenantes m\u00e1s comunes son los siguientes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part\u00edculas suspendidas en el aire, como polen, esporas, polvo generado por termitas y restos de insectos org\u00e1nicos<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infecciones respiratorias previas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conservadores contenidos en bebidas y alimentos procesados<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aire fr\u00edo y sus contaminantes que causan irritaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb28px\u00bb][vc_row_inner el_id=\u00bbtreatment\u00bb][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfExiste tratamiento para el asma?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los objetivos a largo plazo del tratamiento son controlar los s\u00edntomas y reducir el riesgo de exacerbaciones. Consiste principalmente en un ciclo continuo que comprende la evaluaci\u00f3n del paciente, ajustes del tratamiento y revisi\u00f3n de sus respuestas al mismo. Adem\u00e1s, como parte de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, el paciente debe aprender a reconocer los factores desencadenantes asociados con su condici\u00f3n y tomar las medidas necesarias para reducirlos o evitarlos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para tener un buen control de la enfermedad y tener una buena calidad de vida, el paciente debe: adaptar su entorno y su forma de vida. Reducir al m\u00e1ximo los factores desencadenantes y las sustancias que le pueden causar alergias. Limpiar la casa y el ambiente de trabajo regularmente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es importante entender que aunque esta enfermedad no tiene cura, puede ser controlada. Debemos descartar el mito de que el asma desaparece en la pubertad, y ser conscientes de que es necesario comenzar un tratamiento preventivo lo antes posible.
